In honor of Reformation Day, here are some complaints I’m nailing on the
Wittenberg door.
Long before there was an Occupy Wall Street, Martin Luther staged the most
important protest in history. He was upset because Roman Catholic officials
were promising people forgiveness or early escape from purgatory in exchange
for money.
So on October 31, 1517, Luther nailed a long list of complaints on the door
of a church in Wittenberg, Germany.
Luther’s famous 95 theses were translated from Latin into German and spread
abroad. Like a medieval Jeremiah, Luther dared to ask questions that had
never been asked, and he challenged a pope who was supposedly infallible.
Through this brave monk, the Holy Spirit sparked the Protestant Reformation
and restored the doctrine of grace to a church that had become corrupt,
religious, dysfunctional, political and spiritually dead.

No Other Name.
The reason why people don't want to define their belief an rather agree with an idea that there is one god for all the people and it doesn't matter what is his name is that they are afraid that their fate might not depend on their deeds but on something (or Someone) else. They don't want to be responsible before someone. They call it freedom. It is strange. My hope is in the freedom of Jesus Christ. I am not a good person. And will never be good enough to get it into heaven. My confidence is that He died for me so I don't have to die. I will live for Him. No other name in this whole world gives such a confidence.

Man liekas muļķīgi, ka kristieši sagaida no nekristiešiem, ka tie rīkosies kristīgi. Un pēc tam, redz, ir vīlušies. Vai nav komiski? Traģikomiski!
Vai tas gadijumā nav slinkums? Mēs gribam, lai mūsu darbs tiek izdarīts mūsu vietā.

H2O
Šorīt, lasot Jeremijas grāmatu, acīs iekrita šis pants: "Jo Mana tauta ir atļāvusies divkārtēju grēku: tie atstājuši Mani, dzīvā ūdens avotu, un izrakuši sev akas, cauras akas, kas nepatur sevī ūdeni!" (Jer.2:13)
Kāds ir tavs ūdens avots? Nē, nopietni?
Jaunajā Derībā Jēzus saka: "Bet, kas dzers no tā ūdens, ko Es tam došu, tam nemūžam vairs neslāps, bet ūdens, ko Es tam došu, kļūs viņā par ūdens avotu, kas verd mūžīgai dzīvībai." (Jāņa 4:14)
Klau, kristieti, tava tauta ir izslāpusi. Ej un padzirdi kādu šodien!

Lords Prayer
Šis ir riktīgi labs! Man patīk:
who got an A+ for this entry
(TOTALLY AWESOME)!
Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned.....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached
NEW School prayer:
"New Pledge of Allegiance"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles..
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
